Kovalam Beach Sun Rise
This blog is about my recent visit to kovalam beach in chennai to watch the early sunrise.
Covelong (Kovalam) is a fishing village in Chennai, India, 40 kilometres south of Chennai, on the East Coast Road en route to Mahabalipuram. Covelong was a port town developed by the Nawab of Carnatic, Saadat Ali. It was taken over by the French in 1746, and destroyed by the British in 1752.
The trip was very much refreshing on a sunday morning at 5.30 am. The fishermen were going into the sea for fishing. Many youngsters and tourist were also present to watch the sun rise. Photo shoots were going on. people were standing with bags for buying the fresh fishes from the fishermen.
After watching the sun , we moved across the shores where fishermen were with the boats selling fresh fishes caught on their nets which they had placed the previous day. The fishes were fresh with breathes in them. people were crowding around the boats to buy those fresh fish. Kovalam beach is awesome place to visit. Whoever who reads my blog just try it once for the sunrise.
